The 2016 Bruce Lynton Charity Ball marked 16 years since the event’s original inception and it remains a highlight on the Gold Coast's social calendar. Over this time more than $1.7 million dollars has been raised for local charities.
Bruce Lynton Automotive Group is delighted to announce that $117,000 has been raised this year alone for beneficiaries Cancer Council Queensland, Guide Dogs Queensland, Youngcare, Men Of Business, 4 ASD Kids and this year's newest beneficiary Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.
"The Bruce Lynton Charity Ball has been running since 2001 and over that time we have helped to raise in excess of $1.7 million for local charities," said Beric Lynton, Dealer Principal of Bruce Lynton Automotive Group and founder of the Bruce Lynton Charity Ball. It was heart‐warming to see the overwhelming support we received again this year from the local community in terms of ticket demand and the kind donations of auction and raffle items. It's even more rewarding when we achieve a fantastic result like this!"
The Bruce Lynton Charity Ball was a complete sell‐out again this year. Over 800 guests were entertained with live entertainment all night including headline act 1927, supporting acts William Ashworth and The Accidents and presenters Giaan Rooney and Karen Phillips who were this year's Masters of Ceremonies.
Bruce Lynton Automotive Group would like to extend their gratitude to the 2016 Major Sponsors, without whom this special event could not have been made possible: RACV Royal Pines Resort, CSQD, Digital Lighting Solutions, Carlton United Breweries, William Grant & Sons, Solution Red, Morse Building Consultancy and Moet Hennessy Australia.
In addition to the Charity Ball, Bruce Lynton Automotive Group hosted a Charity Golf Day at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the 13th May, which also filled to capacity yet again with local business owners and executives. The day included 18 holes of golf, a light lunch, evening canapés, a raffle and fantastic prizes and the hole in one prize of a Fiat 500 vehicle.
